Kaal Ki Kalakriti: A poem by Rajeev Kumar Das

My colourful dream: A poem by Shamsul Haq

A crop of desires go on inditing an inexplicable alibi From a distant dreamy land emanates a silent melody The symphony of dreams leave all spellbound and thrilled No more ululation, a sheer jubilation in the world of dreams A string of passion wrought, the dreams much sought An instrument of ecstatic muse provides food for thought A great exultant joy overthrows stinging illusions When realms of dreams laced with sweet emotions My colourful dreams are hidden splendors to connoisseurs Dawning a gleaming day with greater degrees of grandeur Dreaming big in all, in fact, a chasing victory One dwells in dazzling stars if desires accompany From this chaotic world, dream is an escape In the squall shattered night, a still castle in skyscape My colourful dream has myriad avenues and idyllic rooms Free from mundane hassles there I can seamlessly roam

My colourful dream ~Shad(e)y Dreams: A poem by Gomathi Mohan

My colourful dream ~Shad(e)y Dreams Gliding and glissading along tinted realms unknown,  Each night by myriad dreams, eyelids prone to get blown.  Some never leave the memory for long,  Others slide away sooner than dew at dawn.  Struggle to recall once awake at morn,  Chase it, but vaguely it escapes with a yawn.  Right when in the kitchen amidst work,  A quirky feel like floating in a cirque.  The smokescreen of hues slides in, glossy and tactile,  Amber was prominent or is lemony lime agile?  Read in college what dreams interpret by their spectral colour,  Oneirology was not chosen but came along as Minor.  Coming back, next came favourite fuchsia with its welcoming change,  Azure too brought in wisdom into my brain's range.  Nights a many when silvery stygian sent shivers down my spine,  A deep dive into the unconscious to understand better, this self of mine.  Beige beckoned me to my roots while bright mint shone growth fertile, Passion bre

My colorful dream - in my darkest night : A poem by Smitha Vishwanath

My heart is heavy, The air is still, in it the scent of the English ivy. I cannot sleep, my mind's a frenzy, I know not what 'morrow shall bring, In the dark recesses, lies a secret untold, Threatening to break free, the past unfold, I feel a flutter, a brewing unease, I toss, I turn, I freeze. Not a sign of life or calming breeze, Weariness creeps, it stifles, I cannot breathe, A drunken stupor, trance. 'Peace' - must I lease? My eye-lids close, my troubles cease... Sweeping fields before me lie; tulips- violet, burgundy, cream, and white, Amidst them, yellow silks, red bindi, your face soft; a heavenly sight Stray tendrils, caress your cheek; calm me down; a sea-breeze in the night, Kohl lined ebony eyes smile, "It's going to be alright." Stay! Don't leave... my eyes shut tight Alas! It's gone...and takes you too; the morning light. Golden rays echo your words; a bright new morn, Blue skies, green grass, the flowers, and bir

My colorful dream: An Article by Vandana Bhasin

“Those who dream the most, do the most!” I grew up reading these words everyday on the poster that hung on my room’s wall. When I was a child, I couldn’t comprehend the wisdom of those words with as much depth as I do today. My father would say, “Don’t waste your time dreaming, do something! Act!” So I filled my life with action and activity. One day my uncle, who had a successful career and whom I held in great reverence happened to glance at my wall. He immediately opined, “Always remember this, beta ! You can achieve great heights only if you have great dreams. If your dreams are big, your vision will be big and therefore your efforts and actions to transform your vision into reality will also be immense to commensurate with your vision, your dreams!” Those words were inscribed on my mind that day. I apprehended that the key to achieving success and happiness lies in the courage to dream success and ecstasy. I realized that my dreams and my passion would driv

There are seven colours in the rainbow, there may be many more in the universe which the human eye cannot see, as yet. How wonderful would it be to be able to appreciate all the tones, shades, tints of colours known and unknown! Not only will our physical vision field widen, but it will impact us mentally and spiritually too! We shall discover worlds within worlds, and that knowledge will be at once so humbling and uplifting for our souls! I would like to share this colourful dream with all the children of the world. I would love them to unleash their creativity and ingenuity to make this world a vibrant, colourful, cheerful, happy and secure place for all living beings! My colourful dream would inspire them to make a Heaven on Earth, where peace, friendship, love, and joy are shared and cherished in abundance. There shall be no strife, no wars, no hunger, no tears, enough food, clothing, and shelter for everyone.

My colourful dream (The irony): A poem by Goodness Nyuwem

Walk with me upon the variegated pathways of utopia So to behold the rangeless spectrum of smiling rainbow Look beyond your squinted myopia and webs of phobia  Into the seventh heaven where colourful dreams glow.  Can you feel crystal ambience clad in unalloyed purity Where herein faith marries hope in a blissful perfection? Can you visualize such radiant shades wrapped in beauty Where our souls are enchanted to compelling admiration? I see a hue of scarlet blended in the frigidity of maroon Such spell of lust rained on me like passion never to heal I see jets of dark guilt and depression, such gluey cocoon One too many bouts of extremism with which I can't deal. Alas, therein lies some magical bowels of dark blue liquid  Trickling like a solitary tear but of superstitions so dark And fearful with a flurry of perturbations to make fervid  Our philosophies and ideologies, whether white or black.  The frightful countenance of fear in a red coloured dream A cream

I dream to be in the words  The world is evil, it loves to conquer I never mind to be conquered A poem takes you miles away in a wormhole I never mind to be engulfed Stories love to bring out the beheaded thoughts I never mind to be killed so deep Grasses love to tickle your skin even when you are sad I never mind to kiss them with my dry lips Summer loves to drench you with yourself I never mind to feel its exhaustion Spring loves to make you fall in love  I never mind to be with the moist lips Winter loves to trap you in your ribcage I never mind to drill them with all my goosebumps Forgotten woods loves to fold you inside their folded arms I never mind the caressing of the caterpillars Butterfly loves to make you tired of her shades I never mind to bathe with the vibrancy Eyes of ushering love, loves to make you lie I never mind to pretend as the dead carpet for her She has  woven the platonic love with evolution  I never mind the escal

Imagination: A poem by Munira Dalal

What a feeling of elation and ecstasy I have to let my mind wander in fantasy Life’s daily routine sometimes doesn’t fulfill our expectations What an escapade! To run away with my imagination I let my imagination soar upwards to the sky Like a fearless brave kite flying high I seek my rainbow and tightly hold At its end will definitely find my pot of gold I let my imagination run loose and wild See myself in a forest roaming as a child Hoping to meet Goldilocks and the Bears or the Red Riding Hood Oh! Those castles and the enchanted woods and the witches no good I touch and feel every cloud; I search for my silver lining I reach up to the moon riding on its moonbeam shining I stumble upon Aladdin's lamp and the Genie appears towering high Its only my vivid imagination I realize with a sigh! I draw with my imagination on this canvas of life Feeling and emotions of love and strife The pain and sorrow, helplessness and frustration Fellow beings inflict terror and

Unshackle yourself, De-clutter mind, Get ready, to travel with me. Exempted-- fastening seatbelts. Fly like birds-- Let free from Cramped, claustrophobic cage... And travel on my wings. Soar higher, higher and higher, With me, fly wherever and Whenever you feel. Time and space-- never constraints. Tickets not required, Neither passport, not a visa, No check-ins and check-outs, No frisking, scanning etc., No security checks. To be creative, Use me, reach the zenith... Be free-flowing, sometimes wild, At times pleasant. With me, ideas and thoughts, Express themselves in Multitude ways. You guessed it right... I am Imagination.

A string of images come to the nimble mind A wisp of fuzzy fog of the winter's misty morn A series of  silent sighs echoing eerily in still night The moon and parting stars- Aha, cosmic joy in turn; Sweet reminisces that suffuse mind's each cell The fantastical fond memories of yester years that stand tall Entrancing enchantment and romantic ramblings A remote haunt muses unusually meandering mind's trail; Bristle sand dunes in the coral beds Tranquil bay by the tumultuous sea Imaginative narratives- full of grace; Nature's nuances- an inexplicable glee; Incite unexplored muses a thousand times A shade of imagination of exquisite kind An eternal quest for quintessential beauty Food for thought for the inquisitive mind.
