Integrity: A poem by Maria Gina V. De Leon

Image
The world is stained with so much corruption But man is created to choose and have notion To select morality over iniquity To be good rather than be evil To discern righteousness over wickedness To be genuine while others are not To be upright rather than vicious To be a man of integrity rather than dishonesty It needs a thousand men to build a nation But it only needs a single virtue to do good action Integrity encompasses all traits and virtues It leads man to do good things he wants to pursue A man of integrity can never do wrong He is always guided by the trait that is so strong To combat the cruelty and imperfections in this world And still, be the best of himself without being told Blessed is the man who is endowed with integrity For he can live a life that is full of veracity       Even if he is not given a chance to live in prosperity Still, he can tread the path of life with all its sincerity

Yahi hai jeevan ka Yatharth: A poem by Krishna Budakoti

Hope: A poem by Khushboo Yadav

St ruggle and miseries are parts of life. Amidst pain and suffering, it is difficult to survive. Life is full of ups and downs. Only hope and faith help you wear success' crown. Life is a game of success and failure. Have faith in your heart be your own savior. Don't feel dejected with pain and struggle. Believe in yourself and rise above all hurdles. Through every dark night, there is a beautiful day. Don't sit idly do what your heart says. Hope rejuvenates and revives your soul. Whereas disappointment kills you and blurred your goal. Keep hope alive till your last breath. It is the key to prosperity and success. Don't get disheartened with others' words. Only with hope, you will succeed it is assured.

Hope: A poem by Ven Lyn Valdez

A whispering silence from within, After troubled times it came, As I look up above saying His name, Speechless words and yet it brings. From nothing, it seems so lost, A cause far away from the coast, Sailing in the darkest hour across, Nevertheless, I pray for a way home. Vivid memories came to play, Roaming in the cloudy moon I see, Our past seems has a strange way, For I long to be with you someday. And so, the feeling kept me alive, No matter how long I often strived, For your love that warms me inside, To hope is my only strength to survive.

When situations in my life were not so bright When things were not just right When I felt sad with terrific fright Wanted to continue in my flight Hope made me strong, providing solutions to the wrong Success seemed to be very far Windows of gloom left ajar The light appeared at par Failure crawled and came closer I felt discouraged, doubts arose created feelings of a looser Ray's of hopes scattered peeping from the holes of life Cloud of disappointments covered the soul's sky Rain of problems poured from a height Darkness appeared in sight A sudden silver lining formed around life's cloud Quietness turned in to loud Hope like the sun peeped through  The rainbow of cheers broke through  Love returned in the air Darkness diminished Light took over cherished  Ray's of hope penetrated

Maths: A friend or a foe!: A poem by R. Sharanya

Image
We stretch our fingers – one, two, three; And jump into the sea of geometry! A fairyland called mathematics; To solve a problem, so many tricks! We add, subtract, multiply and divide; Working with numbers is a joyful ride! Squares, cubes and so on we find; Giving a regular exercise to mind! We recite the tables in chorus voice; Maths is always our very first choice! Decimals uniquely joined by dots; Fractions and roots kindle our thoughts! We count the toys, trees, and stars; And calculate the distance to Mars! Ones, tens and hundreds, it goes…. Infinity and beyond is what Math shows! Formulas and symbols, all are here; Simplifications bring everything near! Maths is always our dearest friend; Playing with numbers shall never end!!!

Hope: A poem by R. Sharanya

An optimistic ray that shines very bright! Without which nothing seems to be right…. For, it is the mother of perseverance; And it’s the HOPE by which life runs! Bunch of failures turns upside down; Holistic efforts shall not anymore drown….. When Hope is poured to the parched land; The Ship of Success would profoundly stand! From the dawn to the dusk of life; To battle tribulations and many a strife; Medicine to the wounds is the Hope within; That drives the broken heart to race and win! Grooming self-hope is like being born again; With ardent Hope, no single act goes in vain; Hope is the ladder to climb up the Peak; Phenomenal energy it gives to the weak! Wouldn’t the world stop and universe freeze? Everything, when hope lost would cease….. For, HOPE is the breath of every being; And the verve to instigate each doing!

Mathemagic: A poem by Anju Kishore

Math was a nightmare I lived through everyday, Those forty minutes of class from which I wished to run away. My teacher was stern, I had never seen her smile. I feared the look she would give us when sums didn't go right. One day my father found me crying over a test I had failed.  He put me on his lap and said math was a piece of cake.  And then began an adventure we go on every day. He turns everything to math-flowers, stones, and grapes. An hour every evening is Mathemerry Time, To learn from the birds perching on the telephone line. Substractions were fun when some birds flew away. I would add all of them when others took their place. The friendly grocer uncle would wait with amused patience While I exercised my mind with coins, notes, and prices. Now, dad walks me to our farm to gather some tomatoes, Or peas or carrots, even flowers as the season goes. I would then apportion them, equally among friends. Math was never so meaningful and really so much fun. I passed with flying

Four letter word; yet deep meaning it beholds, Around which this entire world revoĺves, O' it is an enlightening candle in the gloom of despair, Ah! Hope is being positive even if everything is unfair! O' look, the sun rises crossing darkness of gloomy night, Hoping for a new morning to come with day bright,  A rose staying among thorns still hoping to survive, A lotus blooms even in murk with hope and smile! O’ leaves and petals bear autumn hoping for spring, A bird flies high with a hope spreading its wings, Spider knits its web having hope even after falling again, A soldier fights till last breathe hoping for the win of the nation! Hope is the key that open locks of success, Hope is an inspiration in failure and distress, Hope for the best; you will perceive the best, Most of the time life takes our test! O' let this candle of hope be always enlightened, It is hope only that let's live life till the end, Hope is a fuel t

When a child is born in this world, He is endowed with a gift of divinity; Lurking shadows of values eternal, Bestow on him shades of serenity; Moving on the thorny paths of life, One has to tread on with alacrity, Only they can pass the test with grace, Who lead their life in simplicity; Integrity is the most cherished value, For the sake of the growth of humanity, Honesty shines like a bright star, When laced with layers of morality; In the daily dealings of life, one must Adopt the course of honesty, Life's battles can be easily won With the help of truth and integrity.

Honesty: An article by Rakesh Chandra

'Honesty is the best policy'! Who has not heard these prophetic words at least once in his life? Honesty is one of the eternal moral values since time immemorial. There is no denying the fact that every human being should inculcate this 'golden principle' of a good life. However, skeptics raise a basic question: should one opt for honesty even in case of danger to life? or, if by deviating from the path of honesty, if one can save the lives of others, still should we go for it? The answer to both the questions does not seem to be an easy one! It depends upon one's moral and spiritual fabric altogether. Some people vouch for their honesty even in oddest of circumstances while others seek the other way round. After all, human life is precious and one is not sure of getting another chance to be born as a human being. Here, it is important to note that nothing can be seen in absolute terms in this world. Even all our good values and moral principles are not absolute i

Hope - The Sustenance Of Life: A poem by Renette Peterson Dsouza

Image
The sliver of light that shines at the end of the tunnel In the dark the flickering candlelight that's visible It is hope - that is born when all is ending  It sprouts the seeds of a new beginning. When everything positive fades away Hope springs forth to show us the way It helps us overcome our every adversity The driving force that makes us face all, bravely. When times are tough and the good days are gone It is hope that helps us carry on Hope is both desire and expectation The sustenance of life, from within. It sustains life when all is not what it seems When corruption threatens to put paid to your dreams When a loved one is dying of a terminal disease Hope is life's balm to put you at ease. The encouraging force in the face of gloom The lone warrior that bravely faces doom. When chances are slim and opportunities thinner Hope works its magic and brings out a winner .

Attitude is Everything: A poem by Grace Nivedita SithaRaman

Image
One may break, one may rise One may go against the tide. People are rude when there is no food, Poets pen in good mood. Children dress in boot and suit The seniors at times, call themselves cool dude. Attitude is everything!  Reverse the game for a change. When a kind word is said in lieu of a bad mouth, When a concerned hand touches an arrogant wand When rules are bent to save a soul, When a beggar is given a full bowl. The oppressed is placed before the strong, When the queer stands  together and people no more feel wrong. When a transformed human walks the path of redemption, When the winner stands just not alone, takes the contingent home. When the silver oaks shall not weep in despair, When children shall have enough food and clothes to wear. When workplace shall have all kinds include... This is what can be called Positive attitude Attitude is everything.!

I blow life, To ease my strife. I wish not to be the wind, To ruffle the seas, To tease the bees. I wish to be the dust, The minuscule, miniature loose character grains of dirt, settled on a playful child's girth when it is in mirth. Whoever feels a shirt spells my worth,  I tell them that my  soul I carry naked since birth. There lies my integrity untouched.  Really raw, sparingly designed, It is a chutney I hide like my grandmother's pickle jars.  INTEGRITY served on a plate of character, Works well, tastes better. Stands on Life's shelf line in good and bad weather.

Honesty: A poem by Dr. Alok Kumar Ray

Image
In a fine morning, I went out My intention was to search for honesty To know it's genesis, to grasp it's synthesis, to prove it's a hypothesis But to my utter disregard Nowhere I could find honesty in its totality Honesty is now a misnomer It's there in books, ethical treaties Like rain in the  month of April It is seen seldom, very rare Its rareness multiplies its demand Its remnants are found  among all, rich and poor Beggar and benevolent, propertied persons, sages and even among persons branded as  antisocials Its presence keeps us all in good temperament It's the highest value sans any ifs and buts It's one of the values on which rests our future It keeps us going, leading life with virtues It's lacking makes us insane, we become beasts Its cultivation is very tough but not impossible Like a spark, it appears in us, dazzles our life Its adherence in all times makes life sublime

Honesty: An Article by Khushboo Yadav

To be honest is to be true in every aspect of life. It includes never to tell a lie, not to hurt anyone with our bad habits and behavior. An honest person with our bad habits or behavior. An honest person never involves an activity that is morally wrong. Being honest means to remain honest even in adverse circumstances. Honesty gives you mental peace. Honesty flourishes and nurtures every relationship because it is the base of every relationship. An honest person remains calm in every situation because he lives his life without any guilt whereas a dishonest person loses the faith of family friends and other relatives. It is better to speak the truth once rather than telling a thousand of lies. Honesty has its own reward. The path of honesty is never easy. Honesty arouses satisfaction, self-respect, and self-confidence. Speaking the truth strengthen our character. A lie may save a relationship but it can bitter the relationship for good because the truth is like the sun w

Power of silence: A poem by Heera Nawaz

Image
Many a time we like to create an altercation and fracas, By using rude, impudent expletives as if it’s a token, But before mouthing these mean words, measure them first, Because in most cases, silence is more potent than words spoken Be sure that you purify and cleanse your mind before you speak, and realize that usually, it’s better not to articulate a word, for that can cause trauma, pathos, riots, controversies, and fights, for it can instigate and evoke a sea of tumultuous emotions stirred. Before speaking think of the power and spirituality of silence, By asking the following questions that rightly comes to mind, “Are the words that I am going to say absolutely truthful, A re the words necessary to bring up and, above all, are they kind?” One well-meaning poet thought a lot and then said to me, “How do I attract my colleagues and in them in some sense? For they don’t seem to discern the rationality of thought, How can they understand my word

Beauty of Simplicity: A poem by Maria Gina V. De Leon

Image
The finest thing in life is to wake up each day With gratefulness in your heart as you go along the way For God who creates will make us realize the essence of life Is not on the grandeur of looks nor the power or the might Not the emperor’s clothes that clad your body But on how you cover a poor man’s body Not on the golden shoes that you wear But on how you lead others on the step they have to bear Not on the silver spoon and golden platter But on how you feed the soul of every man in the gutter Not on the lavish palace that protects your head But on how you house a man nearing its death bed The wealth that you have is all of worldly things That man can never hide nor bring It is not how opulent and extravagant you live that matters For that alone is the vanity of life that a vicious man caters   Learn to appreciate simple things that isn’t superficial Looks, power and wealth may all be crucial But the true beauty of life is in the simpl

Mausam: A poem by Krishna Budakoti
