My colourful dream: A poem by Shamsul Haq

A crop of desires go on inditing an inexplicable alibi
From a distant dreamy land emanates a silent melody

The symphony of dreams leave all spellbound and thrilled
No more ululation, a sheer jubilation in the world of dreams

A string of passion wrought, the dreams much sought
An instrument of ecstatic muse provides food for thought

A great exultant joy overthrows stinging illusions
When realms of dreams laced with sweet emotions

My colourful dreams are hidden splendors to connoisseurs
Dawning a gleaming day with greater degrees of grandeur

Dreaming big in all, in fact, a chasing victory
One dwells in dazzling stars if desires accompany

From this chaotic world, dream is an escape
In the squall shattered night, a still castle in skyscape

My colourful dream has myriad avenues and idyllic rooms
Free from mundane hassles there I can seamlessly roam
