Manipulation: A poem by Bhargavi Ravindra

Image
Life doesn’t always follow a pattern we weave  In no way, it is obligated to fulfilling our dreams  Life is never a smooth sailing as one perceives What is life without some genuine manipulation  Worthy of a calculated risk taken in anticipation If it helps bridging gaps and cementing relation. Tread path less travelled, leave behind your mark A lot is manipulated to set your footprint in dark How well life manipulates wonderstruck you ask. Sadly life is not always a bed of roses, we all know People , out to cash in on weaknesses, somehow They work in a malicious way, one wonders how!  A mind game - a cunning plays, to cheat or fool  One can be bogged down by tough set of rules  In today’s world, a trend often considered “cool”!  People manipulate to bring in behavioral changes*  From a few lies to glorifying reality it widely ranges  Need be brutally manipulative to negate damages! Let our ma...

Manipulation: A poem by Nazima Kachwalla

Image
Am I the only one; Who notices insincerity? Or Am I the only one; Who sees no clarity? Those little lies that you tell me, Always come back to haunt me. The manipulator has the blind Thinking that they can see, It is not their fault They are the ones who are deceived easily. As for me I have learnt, Not to trust foolishly. Laden with fake smiles and wild guile, Their audacity truly amazes me, Seems like a smudged window, Projecting and claiming clarity. When an individual uses another, To advance his own interests, Has a master plan to achieve a specific outcome, Just as we feel for the deceived. But, never for the deceiver, The Deceiver is the Master-Manipulator.

Manipulation: A poem by Ashutosh Meher

Image
As it appears on its face value Manipulation seems so much bad As if it is an act of the crooked mind Without analysis, we say it's so sad. When we find own self in dare state Manipulation sometimes aptly needed To lift up and fight out the difficulties  Of course without harming anybody indeed. Manipulation should not be used at all To put others into the wall negative spot Taking advantage of their bad situation  Then manipulation becomes totally a rot. So be selective and use it as a self-arm Self-help good not causing others any harm.

Manipulation: A poem by Rafika Rangwala

Manipulation is the game  Which is played by deceivers Sometimes by diplomats too Manipulators consider themselves to be very smart But they don't understand To whom they are manipulating They too have hearts They are capable enough to kick them apart Once they enter your life You will be far away from the truth They will definitely use you And fulfill their booth The fake smile, the sham beauty The fraud appearance, the feigned world Are surprisingly the live example of manipulation The skillful behavior of one's Pretending rich, just to get a favor The white lies in advertising one's talents Pretending ourselves more wise and knowledgeable  Even without the primary education Is the hue and cry of the present scenario As if the whole world  is dazzling In the arm of manipulation.

Perspectives: A poem by Omar Nassar

Image
From a young age, he manipulated his parents Being naturally intelligent with an affecting smile He often skipped school to gamble with idle kids Cheated at exams, passed, he used fake papers to join politics....... Where he used propaganda to take many for a ride Year after year that he'd improvise everyone's life He conned the rich and dished out cash to the poor While he ate big pretending to reduce poverty........ His tongue oozed honey while his money sweet as lies Spread like fresh butter over everyone's bread Where the lies spread to assure all truth was dead So that in all time to his support all would be wed..... To be stringed to loans and grants all squandered on leisure While he mooted up development ideas now and then Debated in pubs and night-clubs day in and day out And his supporters thought all was on track....... Until when the debts became unmanageable Since all, he was squandering with friends had strings attached He realizes to his dismay he t...

Motherhood: A poem by Sonal Singh

Image
You know you are in love when Tiny fists curl around your fingers You know you are in love when On your baby’s face, a smile lingers You know you are in love when Your children’s laughter fills your soul You know you are in love when In their happiness you become whole You know you are in love when Their first word is music to your ears You know you are in love when Their wounds reduce you to tears. You know you are in love when You receive a hug for no reason You know you are in love when Joy lasts always, in every season. You know you are in love when Your children accomplish and rise You know you are in love when Their progress is your ultimate prize.

You know you're in love: A poem by Princess Lubna

Image
My cheeks turning crimson red like a flame At the mere mention of your name My heart taking a marathon run at the sight of you Running away hiding behind doors from you The tears flowing incessantly not by choice The minute I hear your loving voice Overwhelmed with thoughts about you, my love Choking in emotions laden with selfless love At times feelings of despair and mindless My heart swells with your kindness  The constant fear of losing you, the fright Thinking about you day and night Desire to share, impossible to be silent The dilemma whether to talk or be quiet To meet or to hide from you To be happy or remain blue To forever smile or cry for you To live with you or to die without you This divine love, beyond control, sent from above You know that you're in love

When I know I am in love with you …!: A poem by Sarala Ram kamal

Image
I never felt your absence nor doubted it For, if you’re absent, then I am absent from myself When my eyes yearn to see you, they burn And paint you in everything they fall upon I fall silent in a garrulous crowd And waft along with a clouded head full of you Accidentally unexpectedly if you come I go berserk in my head and quiver I postpone the sleep every night To stay awake with you; a warmth beneath the skin! I walk as if lost in a wild wood Feel sad if someone wakes me up in between There is joy while I search you Day after day after day after day… At times when you come tough and rough I feel more joy in knowing you, anew From my deep passion, you start lilting Across my imagination’s floor; I feel alive When I know I am in love with you, dear “Poetry”, I know I am alive!

You are in love: A poem by Kishor Kumar Mishra

Image
When the red canopies of gold mohur Eclipse the blue sky in summer You know you are in love. When the green carpets cover the ground Birds chirp in showers of monsoon morn You know you are in love. When the flowers smile in a colorful canvas And shake their heads with the autumn breeze You know you are in love. When morning sun rays scatter on greens And golden beads sparkle in dew morning You know you are in love. When you see the snow-clad mountains While still under the quilt on winter bed You know you are in love. When new leaves and flowers blossom Cool spring breeze rustle through leaves You know you are in love. When amorous calls of seasons entice you You know you are in love .

Motherland: A poem by Jellie N.Wyckelsma

Image
In where I drew my first breath I had no say, Yet, deeply etched into my heart, mind and my soul, The place of my birth will forever stay. It was Nederland, a small country in Europe along the North Sea; With its own customs and traditions, and its landscape Of rivers, canals, dykes and windmills as far as one can see. The Dutch language I spoke as a child instilled in my brain, Will always be there, even though in Australia I must converse in a tongue which to me is rather foreign. When I write, the Dutch and English grammars often fight. In my head I still count Een, Twee, en Drie, as I was taught, Not One, Two and Three, now the words are meant to be right. In my garden are roses, my Father used to grow. When I stop and smell them, I’m flooded with   Memories of gardens I used to know. The smell of some foods take me back home too. Nostalgia teases my taste-buds, and I keep The traditional Dutch dishes on my daily menu. Some days my c...

Tears in the land: A poem by Albert Juniho Onwuchekwa

Image
She glooms in shadows of sullen solitude Sunken by the plague of servitude That chokes the lungs of freedom yearning for a breath of stardom. Despite rich in the splendor of luxury Yet the land bleeds with severe penury. With pestilence of autocracy Weaving the fabrics of democracy. The beauty of African pride Masked in the veil of the bride Endowed with rich cultural diversity Sailing in the cape of adversity Reminiscent of heroes in the nook Overflows tears in the brook Singing hues of lamentation To heal the scars of corruption.

Motherland: A poem by Nisha Tandon

Image
Motherland India, our Motherland, is not a mere country but an emotion  That ignites within us a fire of intense devotion  A sense of immense pride that completely conquers  And every Indian to its roots it firmly anchors  The Himalayas in the north bejewels our mother like a radiant crown Kindles in every spirited native feeling alien yet profound  Ganga cascades like a goddess with a mystical, divine surge As a warrior from the battlefield does it unvanquished emerge  With Kashmir safely under its wings, there’s the advent of a new dawn  Called paradise on Earth, it replicates the lustrous moon that is often forlorn So ethereal yet the enchanting beauty of our opulent nation  It is God’s most unique and artistic creation  The armed forces have time and again preserved her sanctity  And benevolently laid down their lives to safeguard her dignity  No class, creed or religion they see in their ...

Being Human: A poem by Subhashchandra B.Adhav

Image
Unbelievable is Ronu Mondal’s inspirational story Ultimately her melodious voice brought her glory Being human, it’s our responsibility to give justice to merit On the contrary, our society dampens the meritorious person’s spirit Pity, compassion, sympathy, charity, benevolence have the hypocritical smell of obligation  Why obligation? When the person deserves standing ovation Sympathy, mercy, compassion-such are the offspring of discrimination and disparity Being human, it is our bounden duty to remove vivid disparity Food, clothes, shelter are basic human needs to be fulfilled Ironically ‘societal bowl’ always remains or kept half-filled Being human, isn’t it our duty to always fill the societal bowl? If filled, satiated would be true humanity’s soul Destiny brought unkempt Ronu Mondal from railway platform to social media platform Angel like Atrindra Chakraborthy and Himesh Reshammiya, being human, humane acts they did perform  Like concealed d...

Does it matter?: A poem by Pradeep Govind

Image
Does it matter, where you think you belong..if you sleep your nights beside the gun.  Does it matter, which God you pray..if you can’t pray for everyone.  What is it that you’re searching for..it’s a short journey from the cradle to the grave. Are you sure of finding your answer..before you turn the ‘eternal slave’. Does it matter, that you’ve got a religion..if it won’t get you, your relief.  Does it matter, that you’ve killed someone..just because he lived by his own belief. For every one reason you could find to hate..you could find many more to love.  All it takes is the heart of man..to raise the self to the power above.  Does it matter, the color of your skin.. when the blood beneath is always red. Does it matter, the name of your God..so long as he provides your daily bread. Why choose to kill and die, when there’s plenty to share under the same sky.  ‘You’ and ‘me’ are just a state of mind... when together we could stand fo...

Smile: A poem by Nisha Tandon

Image
I question the ways of the divine one above Was she truly a blessing like the people said? Am I the fortunate chosen one who needs to safely secure Her precious smile wherever she shall in future tread? She is the perfect one blessed to an imperfect me; Heaven’s Special Child, in his home till now she dwelled. With a tear in my eye and a tug in my heart Tenderly I carried her and to my bosom tightly held. The radiance of her smile that adorns her beautiful face Is like the million stars that bejewel the darkest of veils; Her scintillating smile for me is like morning dew; A Representation of ethereal faeries from fantastical tales. Her soothing smile touches my bruised soul; As I hold her it fills my heart with undying hope. She lies in my arms like a bunch of fragrant lilies As if angels from heaven descended to my abode. Every morning as her empathetic eyes meet mine I gather strength to endure the pain I shall go through. Her invaluable smile parallels the world’s greatest treasure...

Smile: A poem by Heera Nawaz

Image
Which facial expression brings optimum happiness, and is the key to unlock one’s charming irresistible beauty? It is no doubt one’s a warm, exuberant and sanguine smile, And for many professions flaunting it is a priority duty! Like Mona Lisa Madhuri Dixit and Mother Teresa, Many have helped to metamorphose the world with their smile, For smiles have ways of forging liaisons and friendships, As they build staunch bridges in relationships tile by tile. A smile is like a feel-good tonic and self-care hormone that nails the fact that one has a very beautiful soul, for as the year and months pan themselves onwards, it is the smile that explicitly and spontaneously makes one whole. Not only for movie stars but this applies to laypersons too, A smile is the greatest asset to complement one’s lovely face, And when storms and debacles arise and the smile disintegrates, One will never know its innate source and secret hiding place! Yes, be like the Quee...

Smile: A poem by Gigi Mejri

Where do you hide? A smile is the magic twinkle That brightens the face with each wrinkle Once released, you never know where it hides Somewhere it travels and multiplies You send just one and you get piles Similar to a game of dart, a smile holds a lot of art It reaches the goal and pierces the heart Silent, short-living but with a powerful effect Multi-functional: reassuring, promising, signal of a new start A smile is the unseen messenger who appears for a while But stays with you a life time A smile is the eternal enigma ,winner of battles Symbol of love with a sweet aroma You can see it on the face but never know its hiding place !!
