Integrity: A poem by Rakesh Chandra

When a child is born in this world,
He is endowed with a gift of divinity;
Lurking shadows of values eternal,
Bestow on him shades of serenity;

Moving on the thorny paths of life,
One has to tread on with alacrity,
Only they can pass the test with grace,
Who lead their life in simplicity;

Integrity is the most cherished value,
For the sake of the growth of humanity,
Honesty shines like a bright star,
When laced with layers of morality;

In the daily dealings of life, one must
Adopt the course of honesty,
Life's battles can be easily won
With the help of truth and integrity.
