Where eagles dare: A poem by Manisha Amol


Young boy from a small town and a mediocre family,
Cherished big dreams in his magnetic eyes lived shyly.

Be it engineering,astronomy,
physics or aeronautics,
Was dextrously adept at handling all the dynamics.

Had a humble background but ambitions sky high,
Goals set,readied nuances and determined to fly.

Malleable brilliant mind leaving behind a lucrative career,
Forays into an uncertain world ruled by mafia all over.

Dazzle and splendour caught him in a short span of time,
He climbed up so steep,a valid reason so sublime.

Sharp focus,due diligence and a fearless mind,
Broke all the shackles leaving negativity behind.

Rose to a height where eagles dare to fly,
Looked at the stars with a gleaming telescopic eye.

Alas! irresponsibly bullied,harassed,subdued and troubled,
Despite all the malaise,he still remain humbled.

Vicious thoughts and conspiratory deeds of his rivals,
Could not tolerate his magnificent and trendy arrival.

Brutally assaulted-the journey ended of a brilliant man,
Had exposed the mafia of all the malafide plan.

Sudden mysterious demise shocked his fans world over,
Call for justice echoes and will be remembered forever.

Has left an indelible scar on the minds of loved ones,
Shall ever remain immortal in the hearts of family and friends.

Born to doting parents on a chilly winter noon,  Grew up with four siblings, life was like a boon.   Then came an abrupt end to all my idle fooling,  Born again to lessons, as they started my schooling.  Thought had grown up, now that I was in college,  Born again to lectures, busy acquiring knowledge.  Got a job to my relief, set about to make a career,  Born again despite the whims of bosses every year.                    Married, now that I was grown up, happy to be released,  Born again, at my new home, with many to be pleased.  Then came my li'l Angel, happy the cycle had ended,  Born again as a parent, on us,  she wholly depended.  Finally put in my papers,  wanting to be an idyll,  Inner self, however, wanted my passion to unbridle.      Born again a writer, having found my Muse,  Loving it every bit, a life I got to choose. It looks just like 'ordinary' as the word is... No shiny wraps to cover its face... Simple as it looks, But every page has a hook for taking another look. Be gentle when you flip its page You'll find some imperfect perfect moments at every stage.. Don't skip a few... for it bores you... You might miss  my  accomplishments, tucked away neatly in a line or two...   They say, ' Life  is not a bed of roses'  You'll see... Some lines are full of agony and bruises... Turn the corners delicately... For some fragile smiles may try to slip through, impatiently... Every line that you have read... ..Is the truth I have always dread...
