Anklets: A poem by Sarala Balachandran

Her anklets jingled
As she walked
On the wet green grass
As he looked and admired her divinity
Each step of hers sang a lovely song
A song of her love for nature
A song of her love for her motherland
He sat far away admiring her
Body and her divine soul
It was the jingles of her anklets
Made him fall in love with her
As she walked carefully with a
Hum on her lips
Her dark long hair
He kissed from far
The jasmine perfume emitted from her hair
He received in his heart
As a symbol of his love
For this divine girl unknown!
She keeps walking slowly
To reach that divine place
To surrender herself to the
Will of her creator!
