When spring comes in: A poem by Uma Natarajan

As the spring steps in reminiscent of melodies and serenade the surroundings
Scent of roses flow around creating Never ending bondings
Blades of green grass grow mounting our longings 
Misty showers of bliss soak the earth with glorious colors
Sun vibrant appears to bow with radiant bowers
Dainty Petals dance in the sweet air with graceful showers
Winter disappears and retires quite elegant
Snow melts, sorrow drives off, spring wakes up ebullient
Under the chandelier of sun's affluent enlightenment 
Birds flock and swarm, children play and Engross in entertainment 
Spring is miraculous making the world so much alive in Conspicuous 
Beneath the cold hard world plants have already prepared their rebirth 
Now they sprout with rejuvenation and mirth
Excitement and zest after the cold winter zoom and settle
Charm of spring awaken our spirits like the boiling tea in the kettle
Grass is green across the hills, yellow daffodils bloom with grand will
Sun shines on a stalk, flowers offer glorious talks

Born to doting parents on a chilly winter noon,  Grew up with four siblings, life was like a boon.   Then came an abrupt end to all my idle fooling,  Born again to lessons, as they started my schooling.  Thought had grown up, now that I was in college,  Born again to lectures, busy acquiring knowledge.  Got a job to my relief, set about to make a career,  Born again despite the whims of bosses every year.                    Married, now that I was grown up, happy to be released,  Born again, at my new home, with many to be pleased.  Then came my li'l Angel, happy the cycle had ended,  Born again as a parent, on us,  she wholly depended.  Finally put in my papers,  wanting to be an idyll,  Inner self, however, wanted my passion to unbridle.      Born again a writer, having found my Muse,  Loving it every bit, a life I got to choose. It looks just like 'ordinary' as the word is... No shiny wraps to cover its face... Simple as it looks, But every page has a hook for taking another look. Be gentle when you flip its page You'll find some imperfect perfect moments at every stage.. Don't skip a few... for it bores you... You might miss  my  accomplishments, tucked away neatly in a line or two...   They say, ' Life  is not a bed of roses'  You'll see... Some lines are full of agony and bruises... Turn the corners delicately... For some fragile smiles may try to slip through, impatiently... Every line that you have read... ..Is the truth I have always dread...
