Happiness is...: A poem by Omar Nassar

Happiness is sustained peace of mind
Where well-being in society equals love and tranquility
Where every human being is happy to be,  to share
God's largesse to mankind including fresh air qualitatively...
It is to have someone who loves you sincerely
And accepts you for your for who you are willingly
One who respects your thoughts and feelings honestly
And always stands by you through adversity smiling
Someone one trusts will always be there for one loving
A true friend to the end like good parents
One can trust as a family to rely on always
Who would never betray or lead one astray...
Trustworthy persons ready to call a spade a spade
And are happy to coach one to become self-reliant
Like honest spouses, brothers and sisters - good relatives
Liberated from hatred, jealousy, envy, and greed...
It's living with people who respect others' lives and property
In the society of peace,  equality, rule of law and prosperity
Where leaders care, the environment is fair and folks share
In unity and services is the public utility for everybody...
