Unfulfilled dream: A poem by Indrani Chowdhury

Fate did brandish its sword,
For a long time, to intimidate me,
Sabotaging my numerous noble efforts,
To realize my unfulfilled dream,
To break free.
I was pushed, I was shoved,
And countless catastrophes,
Attempted to crush,
My rebellious being.
But then fate gave in,
When it tasted my resilience.
And even showered me,
With a thoughtful parting gift.
And that was,
To had the strength and spirit,
To break free,
Thus fulfilling,
My long unfulfilled dream.
