When I look into my eyes: A poem by Dr. Molly Joseph

When I look into my eyes,
I see a calm, that has settled
after countering many storm..
the eyes that have seen
riots of colours, revels galore, and the emptiness that spreads
When crowds leave, keeping the stage vacant....

Hah! I have seen people in love,
people at war, for reasons silly, they knew not...

Looking...learning...

I explore myself the teenager
the mountain roe,
the demure lass waiting for a glance,
the one who run and won
the lemon spoon race of life,
picking balance..

hah! looking...learning..
