Smile: A poem by Sujata Chatterjee

The awesome creation of God in the universe
Seeing which a mom's face light up with love
It's a six-week-old newborn's social smile
A blessing which rains from above.

Fingers entwined together in love
Lovers wearing that bewitching smile
Makes their heart skip a beat
And walk together that extra mile.

When a boy scores a goal in style
The aura of the game that he has won
The Dad then breaks into a proud smile
At words of promise of a dutiful son.

Whenever a child cries as he is hurt
The mom will always wipe the tears away
Her lips and eyes have an enchanting smile
That brightens up the child's day.

At the encouragement  from a boss or a teacher
A student breaks into an elated smile
Hard work and dedication well rewarded
As he turns more and more agile.

Friendship is all about love and laughter
Its all about how much you can smile
How much u weave a sweet little hug
How much your heart can beat for a while.
