Holiday Season: A Poem by Kishor Kumar Mishra
To the farthest south, as the Sun travels The northern hemisphere sees the Winter solstice The holiday season starts with celebrations Monotony takes a brake, with joy and jubilation. The scorching heat of the Sun is not felt Not seen the dark clouds in the sky Cold wind blows around the northern globe Stretches blue canopy, the clear sky above. The Sun smiles in a mood joyful Moving out becomes cozy and comfortable Fairs and festivals take their turn One after another, come for the celebration. The great time wheel rolls on and on Days, weeks, months, and years pass on Seasons arrive on Earth one after the other Festive season too takes its turn every year.
