Press Release: ALS LIT FEST 2019
 Asian Literary Society is a literary community founded by an eminent writer and poet Mr. Manoj Krishnan with the mission to promote Asian Literature and spread its fragrance all over the world. This community provides an excellent platform for writers across the globe to showcase their talent.
Asian Literary Society organized first ALS LIT FEST on March 15th-16th, 2019 at DELNET, JNU Campus, New Delhi. The celebration started with a welcome address by Founder Manoj Krishnan, followed by lamp lighting ceremony and chanting.
Chief Guest, Padma Shri Dr. Shyam Singh Shashi (a social scientist and writer) and Guest of Honour,  Ms. Archana Ranjan (former Indian Revenue Service Officer, and writer ) inaugurated the literary festival. Former MP Ms. Meenakshi Natarajan and Mr. Sudarshan Kcherry, CEO Authorspress graced the occasion with their august presence and enlightened the audience with their thought-provoking speeches.
Asian Literary Society felicitated Ms. Uma Natarajan in recognition to her outstanding performance and exemplary contribution in the field of literature.
It was followed by the book release ceremony where books of Ms. Anju Kishore (...and I Stop to Listen),  Dr. Sujata Chatterjee (Looking Through The Prism: Spectrum), Dr. Molly Joseph (It Rains…), Ms. Meeta Nagpal (The Magic Man), Global fraternity of poets' Fancy Fragrances ( Editor-in-chief: Dr. Sushma Gandhi Devayani and Editor: Dr. Dalip Khetarpal) were released.  Manoj Krishnan's Main Shiv Ban Jaaunga, Nagmani-Darshan, Enchanting Korea and Lyrical Dewdrops were also launched in the ALS LIT FEST.
Asian Literary Society paid tribute to late Yayati Madan Gandhi on this occasion.  An accomplished linguist Dr. Bishakha Sarma and famous children book writer Ms. Kiren Babal compered the event. Later all the authors were felicitated by the esteemed dignitaries.
“Shaam-e-Shukriya was the last program of the day. Poet and entrepreneur Ms. Anita Chand curated the musical program where many young performers enthralled the audience by their electrifying performance. The Day one of ALS LIT FEST ended with the presentation of token of appreciation to the participant and vote of thanks.
On Day 2, i.e., 16th March 2019,  Guest of Honour Dr. Balamiki Prasad Singh (former Governor of Sikkim and Home Secretary), Dr. H. K Kaul (Founder Director of DELNET), eminent poets Dr. Lakshmi Shankar Bajpai and Dr. Khalid Alvi addressed the audience.
Asian Literary Society organized a panel discussion on "Changing images of women in Asian Literature"-curated by Mr. Manoj Krishnan. Eminent scholars Dr.  Ameeta Parsuram, Ms. Amrita Bhalla and Ms. Vandana Kumari Jena, were the panelists who shared their thoughts on this topic.
On the second day of the ALS LIT FEST, many eminent poets from all over India recited their verses. The day ended with the felicitation of poets and vote of thanks.
Asian Literary Society’s ALS LIT Fest was a literary extravaganza where many shining stars congregated, shared their ideas and supported ALS and its initiatives.

एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी एक साहित्यिक समुदाय है जिसकी स्थापना जाने-माने लेखक और कवि श्री मनोज कृष्णन ने दुनिया भर में एशियाई साहित्य के प्रति जागरूकता फैलाने के लिए की है। यह समुदाय दुनिया भर के लेखकों को अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने के लिए एक उत्कृष्ट मंच प्रदान करता है।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी ने१५-१६ मार्च, २०१९  को डेलनेट, जे.एन.यू  कैम्पस, नई दिल्ली में ए.ल.स लिट फेस्ट  का आयोजन किया। समारोह की शुरुआत संस्थापक श्री मनोज कृष्णन के स्वागत भाषण के साथ हुई। इसके बाद दीप प्रज्ज्वलित किया गया।
मुख्य अतिथि, पद्म श्री डॉ. श्याम सिंह शशि ( सामाजिक वैज्ञानिक एवं लेखक) और सम्मानित अतिथि, सुश्री अर्चना रंजन (पूर्व भारतीय राजस्व सेवा अधिकारी एवं लेखिका), पूर्व सांसद सुश्री मीनाक्षी नटराजन और ऑथर्सप्रेस के सीईओ श्री सुदर्शन कचेरी ने अपने भाषणों से श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसायटी ने साहित्य के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन और योगदान के लिए सुश्री उमा नटराजन को सम्मानित किया। इसके बाद पुस्तक विमोचन समारोह में सुश्री अंजू किशोर की “…एंड आई स्टॉप टू लिसन”, डॉ. सुजाता चटर्जी की “लुकिंग थ्रू द प्रिज़्म: स्पेक्ट्रम”, डॉ. मौली जोसेफ  की  “इट्स रेन्स…”, सुश्री मीता नागपाल की “द मैजिक मैन”, ग्लोबल फ्रेटर्निटी ऑफ़ पोएट्स  की फैंसी फ्रेग्रन्सेस  (मुख्य संपादक: डॉ. सुषमा गांधी देवयानी और संपादक: डॉ. दलीप खेतरपाल) का विमोचन हुआ। ए.ल.स लिट फेस्ट  में श्री मनोज कृष्णन की पुस्तकें, मैं शिव बन जाऊँगा, नागमणि-दर्शन, एनचेंटिंग कोरिया और लिरिकल डीवड्रोप्स का भी विमोचन हुआ।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी ने इस अवसर पर दिवंगत कवि ययाति मदन गांधी को श्रद्धांजलि दी। भाषाविद् डॉ. बिशाखा सरमा और लेखिका सुश्री किरण बाबल इस कार्यक्रम की संचालिका थी। शाम-ए-शुक्रिया दिन का आखिरी कार्यक्रम था। कवि सुश्री अनीता चंद ने इस संगीत कार्यक्रम का संचालन लिया जहाँ कई युवा कलाकारों ने दर्शकों को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया।
कार्यक्रम के दूसरे दिन (१६ मार्च २०१९ ) को  सम्मानित अतिथि डॉ. बाल्मीकि प्रसाद सिंह (सिक्किम के पूर्व राज्यपाल एवं पूर्व गृह सचिव), डॉ. एच. के. कौल (डेलनेट के संस्थापक निदेशक), प्रख्यात कवि डॉ. लक्ष्मी शंकर बाजपेयी एवं डॉ. खालिद अल्वी ने दर्शकों को संबोधित किया।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी ने "एशियाई साहित्य में महिलाओं की बदलती छवि" पर एक पैनल चर्चा का आयोजन किया। प्रसिद्ध वक्ता डॉ. अमिता परशुराम, सुश्री अमृता भल्ला और सुश्री वंदना कुमारी जेना पैनलिस्ट थे। श्री मनोज कृष्णन ने इसका संचालन किया। इसके पश्चात देश भर से आये कवियों ने अपनी कविताएँ प्रस्तुत की। अंत में सभी प्रतिभागियों को सम्मानित किया गया।
एशियन लिटरेरी सोसाइटी के ए.ल.स लिट फेस्ट में साहित्य जगत के कई सितारे एकत्रित हुए, जिन्होंने अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किए तथा इस महोत्सव को सफल एवं यादगार बनाया।

You left to accomplish your onus to the nation with pride Leaving behind your aroma and love for the new bride. The orange ball rises, piercing the dark skies But she awaits your return, with those dusky brown eyes The taste of your last touch, on her fervent lips, The warmth of your arms sank her in petrichloral dips. The musk of your embrace is saturated in her breath   She’ll wait for you until she meets death    The long wait made her rough, brittle, and dry Still, she beams with the longing that you’ll return, or at least try A few pearls dropped soothing the warm dusk Along with wet kisses settling the hollow dust   The rains that were seized at the corner of her eye And the rains that were waiting at the heavenly doors, Finally, poured out on his startling arrival, As they waft the soothing aroma again Of Love and Petrichor!
