Hope: A poem by Ven Lyn Valdez

A whispering silence from within,
After troubled times it came,
As I look up above saying His name,
Speechless words and yet it brings.
From nothing, it seems so lost,
A cause far away from the coast,
Sailing in the darkest hour across,
Nevertheless, I pray for a way home.
Vivid memories came to play,
Roaming in the cloudy moon I see,
Our past seems has a strange way,
For I long to be with you someday.
And so, the feeling kept me alive,
No matter how long I often strived,
For your love that warms me inside,
To hope is my only strength to survive.
