Watch her taking the flight: A poem by Monika Kapur

Watch her taking the flight
As they let her fall on the ground
Her dreams noosed tightly,
Her hopes, kept bound.

Watch her taking the flight,
As they nipped her in the bud,
Never let her bloom in her mom’s womb
Made it her grave instead .

Watch her taking a flight
As she burned in your lust,
Disfiguring her pretty features,
Ruining her confidence, burying it in dust

Watch her taking the flight
As she walk past the staring eyes,
Roving up and down her sacred soul,
Brushing along her bust or thighs

Watch her taking the flight
When the world burnt her wings
Like a phoenix see her rising from the ashes,
Watch her reaching for horizon with a resilient swing.
